Mentorship

Guiding your peers

The mentorship program is a year-round initiative that pairs mentors with mentees. As a mentor, you provide guidance to your assigned mentee and answer any questions they may have. As a mentee, you will be able to direct any questions you may have about Linguistics or Psycholinguistics to your mentor.

Mentor positions are eligible for CCR recognition.

Wug Life Initiative

Promoting Linguistics and Psycholinguistics

The Wug Life initiative recruits volunteers that visit high schools in the GTA to promote Linguistics and Psycholinguistics at UTSC. Volunteers work together to create presentations to show senior high school students what it looks like to be a UTSC student studying Linguistics or Psycholinguistics. 

Wug Life Volunteer positions are eligible for CCR recognition.

Learn about Current Research

The Mini-Lecture Series is hosted by our Event Directors. They invite professors to showcase their current or former research in the format of a Mini-Lecture. This is a great way to learn more about Linguistics and Psycholinguistics and discuss research with professors.
